Overview

Bosphorus-I is high performance, compact and SODIMM sized embedded computer based on the AM1808 and Integra OMAPL138 (ARM plus DSP) processors up to 456MHz from Texas Instruments. Main purpose of the Bosphorus-I is the core system in any embedded applications.

  

Bosphorus-I supports multiple processor architectures in same board to respond to requirements of different industry domains. It is an ideal candidate for portable and space-constrained applications because of low power consumption via supporting low power CPU and various operating speeds and higly small size only 67.6mm x 34 mm.
 
Memory
Bosphorus-I is designed within all-in-one approach, so all memory and connectivity requirements are provided on the Bosphorus-I. 128MB DDR2, 256MB NAND Flash and 8MB SPI NOR Flash are supported by the Bosphorus-I for memory requirements. In addition to this on board soldered MicroSD connector is provided for more memory requirements.
 
Connectivity

10/100Mbit Ethernet, USB2.0 High Speed and Full Speed, SATA II, multiple UARTs are connectivity options to provided by the Bosphorus-I. An on-board stereo audio codec allows record and play audio. Integrated LCDcontroller supports  passive and active LCDs with resolution up to 1024x768 with on board resistive touch screen.

 

Local Bus

Processor’s memory local bus is available for extension, such as FPGA, CPLD, high speed data transfers or connecting more peripherals.
